I learned a long time ago that busy hands are happy hands. Because Easter and our school’s spring break usually fall in the same week, we keep a bin full of crafts and board games for bored hands. We also spend a lot of time in the kitchen together. Easter in our house translates into lots of family chaos with unpredictable weather and company in for the holidays. This trail mix is great to have on hand for all those hungry people.
While you are busy in the kitchen, this mix is perfect for little hands to make with just a little bit of your help with the melted chocolate. The recipe is very flexible. Just use whatever sweet and salty ingredients that you have in your pantry. It will help keep hungry hands out of your kitchen while you are trying to finish your Easter meal.
In our home, we make gluten free Cotton Tail Trail Mix. It is so simple to do by choosing readily available gluten free ingredients.
Fun to make and so tasty, this treat won’t last very long, so don’t forget to save some for the Easter Bunny!
